Our Mission

The plan was never Indigenous Box

The plan was never Indigenous Box
Hey there,

There’s something we wanted to tell you. Something we realized we don’t talk about a lot.

It’s about why we do this.

The plan was never to start Indigenous Box. The plan was to find some way to show the world all the incredible work being done by Indigenous entrepreneurs.

Creating care packages was just the first idea we had. That was the how.

But what it was really about was movement.

1.    The actual movement of Indigenous goods into the hands of the right customers.
2.    A movement of people who care about social equity, about claiming space, and about lifting one another up.

We talk internally about our 3 C’s: Connect, Collaborate, and Catalyse. Less a slogan, and more how our business works.
  • We connect by meeting Indigenous businesses where they are.
  • We collaborate to raise the bar together and meet the needs of customers.
  • And our customers, you folks, catalyze real economic outcomes through your purchases.

That’s how our company exists: People like you, telling other people like you about this thing we are trying to do.

What we mean to say is, this mission is possible because of you.

Thank you

If this resonates, we’d love for you to keep the movement going. Help us to keep moving the right products into the right hands, and Indigenous business forward.

P.S. Indigenous Box grows through word of mouth. It’s the best way to connect with our kind of people. You know, the kind ones who care about creating a better future. Help us grow by telling the people who should know!
