Alysha Brown is Swampy Cree from the Grand Rapids (Misipawistik) Nation in Northern Manitoba on her mom's side and English on her dad's side. Alysha has many years of experience in the social work field, both with community agencies and in delegated work, within the urban Indigenous community in Victoria. Alysha is very passionate about mentorship and teaching while staying current on new legislation, policy shifts, and best practice. Her creative passion is painting floral designs inspired by beadwork on drums connecting to mother earth and enjoying life.
Together their vision is to create an accessible commerce platform for Indigenous peoples to share their creations, cultures, and voices. It is important to them to provide opportunities for Indigenous peoples to have a place where they can share their talents and dreams and make a living. It is also a place where others can access authentic Indigenous voices, artwork, consultations, and workshops.
