Tansi My name is Andrea M. Steinhauer (Artist Name: Angiestyles) the daughter of Arthur and Verna Steinhauer, Cree Iskwew from Saddle Lake Cree Nation, Alberta. I am a daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother. In December 2005, I was gifted my late grandmothers hand made wooden trunk of craft supplies. It contained mostly beads and unfinished beaded projects.

I give recognition to my grandmother and my ancestors for leaving a trail of beaded blueprints. When I’m at creating station and filling custom beaded orders, I sit in prayer, song, and in the comfort of my thoughts of our ancestors. Beading is very therapeutic for me and it brings me great comfort knowing that I can help bring ideas and visions of a custom order to its physical form.
