We started this fund to support Indigenous entrepreneurs, especially those just beginning their journey. Many great ideas never make it past the dreaming stage because of the barriers to start-up funding.

We believe starting a business can change lives for entrepreneurs, their families, and their communities. This fund offers low-barrier, community-driven support to help cover essentials like product development, materials, and business registration.
For every 100 Giveback Boxes sold, one Indigenous entrepreneur receives a $1,000 grant and mentorship to start or grow their business.
I was taught that giving back is more of a responsibility than an obligation. It is part of the gifting process and it completes the cycle of reciprocity.
When we receive more than we need, we carry a duty to ensure that abundance moves forward.
The Giveback Box was created with that understanding. It’s a reminder that generosity doesn’t have to be grand to be meaningful. Each item represents a choice to extend care beyond ourselves and to recognize that what we give today shapes what others receive tomorrow.

With every Giveback Box you purchase, $10 goes directly to the Indigenous Box Small Business Fund - helping new Indigenous entrepreneurs bring their ideas to life.

Indigenous Box began in our basement with a $5,000 startup grant and a belief that
small ideas can grow into something powerful. Many Indigenous entrepreneurs
have the vision and drive but lack early funding and support. The Indigenous
Box Startup Fund helps give them a kickstart by providing flexible startup support
and hands-on guidance.
How It Works

Each recipient meets with an Indigenous Box business expert for a personalized consultation. Having worked with hundreds of Indigenous suppliers across every stage of business, we understand both the opportunities and the barriers. Our experts bring experience in sales and marketing, operations, finance, supply chain, e-commerce, and digital tools. The same tools that turn small ideas into sustainable businesses.
